You only live once.
That is a saying that I first heard from our old man enjoy 50 something years ago.
It’s now sort of a motto for a certain mindset. And truthfully, for the first time in our life, I really understand just what that means. Perhaps working away inside the zone controlled Heating & Air Conditioning of some highrise office is the perfect reality. I’m so not judging those who live that life. But for me, I just had enough already. By the time I was 52, I had that corner office with the temperature control. That was really something for me. Having our own temperature control in our office was enjoy I had arrived. But that was really sort of sad. All that work, energy & sacrifice so I could have a bunch of stuff & a temperature control in our office? Finally, I could no longer live enjoy that as just going to work inside that zone controlled Heating & Air Conditioning was all I could do. But I knew that if I was going to do what I wanted to do, it’d come with a lot of fluctuations. I had been out of our marriage for about 5 years & the dating thing just wasn’t for me. So when I quit our job, it was not so tough to turn loose of all the other stuff. I replaced the Heating & Air Conditioning component in our lake house & sold it for a bundle. I got rid of most everything else as well. I purchased a truck with a camper top & a trailer. That would be home. I was able to find the tiniest ductless heat pump for our heating & cooling inside the truck. And I just travel & write about our experiences. Beats the zone controlled Heating & Air Conditioning of the office.
