We always keep the air conditioning in our house turned down really low. We just like it cold and that’s always fine with us. It’s just not always fine with our guests. Most of the time whenever we have a dinner party or we host something else, the people who come into our house act like they are walking into a walk-in freezer or something like that. Even though we keep the thermostat settings at around 65 degrees or so throughout the summer, we just don’t feel like it’s ever really all that cold in the house. I guess most people don’t usually keep their thermostat settings that low during the summer. Anyway, the last time that we had a party, my husband thought that it would be a good idea to put out a bunch of extra blankets and some fuzzy slippers and socks for the guests. I thought that it would be a pretty good idea, but I worried a little bit that it would be weird to offer people blankets as soon as they showed up at our house. However, everyone really seemed to appreciate the gesture when they came in and grabbed a blanket, especially those who had been in our cold house before. Even though we really like our air conditioning, I still love having people over at our house. I guess with our basket of stuff for our guests, we can have the best of both worlds. From now on, I guess we are going to start doing this every single time that we have people over.
