I had the most annoying issue with my smart thermostat recently. It kept falling off the darn wall! Every time I would walk past it, the smart control was laying on the floor instead of mounted, as it should have been, to the wall in the hallway. I finally figured why – the mounting was loose! I didn’t screw it in! The metal holders that it hooks on and mounts to weren’t properly installed. So I went and got my screwdrivers and got those holders screwed right into location, as they should have been when I first installed the smart thermostat. I think this is why I should have called the local heating and air conditioning company to send out a certified technician to install the smart control into my central HVAC unit! I saved money by doing it myself, but the job wasn’t done right. I have the problem completely figured out now, it’s installed properly and is no longer falling onto the ground every time I walk past it in the hallway. My smart thermostat otherwise had been working well. It has saved me a lot of money on energy use and made my life a lot less complex when it comes to running my heating and cooling.
