My kids have recently come down with some terrible allergy symptoms. Recently they have been sneezing, coughing, and wheezing. It seems like it came out of nowhere and they have been acting like they cannot breathe. It’s bad enough having one kid sick is bad enough, but having both it’s just too much for me. My husband and I agreed that if things didn’t improve within the next few days we were going to take both of our children to the doctor. They had already been sick for a week and despite our numerous attempts to do everything we could to prevent it from getting worse, such as isolating them from each other, and given him every cold medicine that we can think of and still having no success we figured we might need to take them to the doctor if things didn’t improve on their own. It wasn’t until I noticed that their rooms were unusually dusty I decided to look a little bit deeper into this problem. I then discovered there was dust all over the room and not the heating and cooling system had been blowing all over into the air through the air vents. I told my husband happy that I think I’d figured it out and I called a heating and AC technician out to confirm this. When the specialist came out to our home he did confirm that the air ducts had a large amount of dirt and debris in them and that they should be cleaned out as soon as possible. We quickly paid to have them cleaned then did a deep clean of the kids rooms, once we did this our kids started to improve until after another day the symptoms I completely went away. This is when we knew that they never had the flu but we’re instead showing severe symptoms of allergies as a reaction to dust.
