When the specialist came out to our loft he did confirm that the air ducts had a big amount of dirt and debris in them and that they should be cleaned out as soon as possible. All of us quickly paid to have them cleaned then did a deep wash of the kids rooms, once every one of us did this our kids started to improve until after another day the symptoms I completely went away. This is when every one of us knew that they never had the flu however we are instead showing drastic symptoms of dust sensitivities as a reaction to dust.
