It’s just so nice outside this week.

I’m still not so cheerful about the way things turned out.

Moving here was something that my wife and I just didn’t know would be in the cards.

And it’s even tougher to say no. I’ve only worked for one supplier since I left school. And I genuinely made my bones early in my job by being willing to take on the strenuous challenges. This led to my wife and I having to transport all around the country. My relaxing friend and I went from winters where my associate and I had to have a gas furnace running all the time to honestly overheated summers and tons of air conditioning. But finally, my associate and I were assured that my associate and I could finally put down some roots. And that’s exactly what my associate and I did by buying a household and renovating it. But as soon as everything was done, my associate and I had to sell it. It was apparent as soon as my associate and I walked through the door of this eating establishment that my wife and I had been dying to try.

The hostess came by and took our drink orders and honestly that’s as far as my associate and I got. My wife and I finished our cocktails and asked for the check. And that’s such a shame because my associate and I honestly prefer dining out. And my associate and I always make a point of going to locally owned eating establishments… We’d much rather give our cash to a small supplier owner than a huge corporation. But if they can’t get the air conditioning right, I’m not sure that they are ready to be doing business.

So being proactive entirely does pay off! It’s the first week of December and our house is toastier than it’s ever been.

On top of that, I just got the latest utility bill and it didn’t make me crazy.

My buddy and I are easily on track to save more than 20 percent on heating costs this winter. That’s just the sort of one, two punch that I was looking for. And this pair of good things comes from just a bit of proactivity on my part. For years, I’ve been complaining about how long the winter is. I’m from the south and never entirely experienced anything when it came to cold like this. I can’t wait to get home these afternoons.

Sure, all the people are ready to beat a path home once the work afternoon is done. And once again, I’m among that crowd. But it wasn’t always this way at all. For a few years, I was really looking for more to do inside the zone controlled HVAC of the office just to avoid going home. It got to the point that my partner was really wondering what was going on. And it was the indoor air quality. Or to put it more succinctly, the air in our home stunk to high heaven. If my associate and I honestly wanted to solve the indoor air quality problem, my associate and I had to go to the source. And that meant killing the bacteria in the air that was causing the smells. So now, our home has been completely transformed with a whole home air purification system. Our air is so fresh & wash that I’m out of the office in a flash at the end of the afternoon.
