One For All Air Conditioning

I had never seen anyone so terrified of cats, and it made me laugh.

I had never considered allowing my cats to roam the house! Knowing they were there gave me some solace, as well as the knowledge that I wasn’t alone. The only thing that bothered me was having to conceal them when the Heating, Ventilation, and A/C serviceman arrived at the house. When he arrived, I thought I had them all in their room, but there were so many that I couldn’t count them all. I counted thirty-two cats, and some of them were pregnant. My sibling warned me that I was turning into a silly dog man, but it was entirely my choice. I let the HVAC and A/C serviceman into the house and showed him where the furnace was. I ran to the basement door two minutes later after hearing a scream. He was huddled on the bottom step, yelling at me to get rid of the cat. As he yelled at me, he was almost in tears. He stated that he was calling the Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning supplier and that they would send someone to the house to remove the cats. I noticed a swarm of cats at the bottom of the stairs, and they were crawling around his feet. I had never seen anyone so terrified of cats, and it made me laugh. I could hear him yelling on the phone, and he said his boss would be there soon. When the other Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning serviceman arrived, he brought some people with him to remove the cats. They had 102 people by the time they were all gathered, counting kittens, and the furnace had been repaired.

I sat in the house for three years doing nothing, watching TV and patiently waiting for my husband to return, but he never did.

Percy, my dog, was the only thing that kept me sane at the time. When I decided it was time to leave the house, Percey accompanied me, and he was now returning to college with me. Many people have asked if he has been trained, and I would tell them that he has. Percy was trained to bite, but he never did. I left my job for a man who didn’t care if I lived or died, and I was ready to live again. I gave up my Heating, Ventilation, and A/C work to marry a jerk who thought it was unmanly to be a Heating, Ventilation, and A/C serviceman. A year later, I lost his child, and he thought I was even less manly. He left with his secretary and never returned. I was mourning the loss of both my child and the jerk. I had no idea one of my best friends was still employed by the Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning Corporation. He and I had rekindled our friendship within six weeks of returning to work. He thought I was an amazing Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning serviceman, and he wanted to know how I talked them into letting Percy go to college with me.

When the Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning serviceman arrived at the house last week, Mom was not pleased.

• He serviced the air conditioning unit and then told him he needed a new fan blade and something else he’d never heard of.

I lived next door, and he had called to invite me over. He wanted to make sure the Heating, Ventilation, and A/C serviceman wasn’t trying to swindle her. When I arrived at the house, I explained about Mom’s hearing loss and asked him to explain what was going on. He showed me the fan blade and told me it was badly bent and couldn’t be repaired. He mentioned another minor component that required replacement. He gave me a quote, and Mom started. She believed the bill had been inflated. She noticed him doing a lot of math on the paperwork as well as looking around the house. He stated that he couldn’t focus because he had forgotten his glasses and pointed to his ID badge. He explained that he was attempting to determine the best way to write up the bill so that it would be less expensive for my mother to pay. Mom wasn’t sure if he was telling the truth, but after looking at his paperwork, he had saved her nearly $100. I thanked him for everything and told him to call me when the air conditioning parts arrived. I gave him a business card. I also told him I would pay the bill and not to take Mom seriously. He laughed as well as stated that he didn’t take anything he said seriously.

I was curious as to what the Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning serviceman was doing to our air conditioning unit.

He’d been outside for nearly an hour and I hadn’t seen him do anything but talk on his cellphone.

I went outside to ask him if he was going to work on the air conditioner or just talk to it all afternoon. He instructed me to walk in this direction, which I did. I waved my arms and duck-walked with him all the way to the service van. He gave me a look that would have made anyone else sick, but not me. I explained that I was only doing what he said, and he rolled his eyes. He showed me the fan motor and informed me that it was broken. He was on the phone with the Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning company. He was trying to figure out if the shop had a current fan motor or if they needed to order one. He had no idea there would be a charge because he discovered the broken fan motor while servicing the air conditioning unit. Fortunately for us, I had obtained a service and repair agreement on the entire Heating, Ventilation, and A/C system when I purchased the current furnace last year. He said it would take a few days to get the current fan motor, but it should be fine for the next ten years, which is the life of the air conditioning unit. I apologized for being a jerk and for doubting that he was working. He laughed and stated that he would have done the same thing.

My boyfriend drove me to our date in a car that I had never seen before.

He hadn’t told me he was getting a new car, so I was taken aback.

When he came out, he asked if I liked it. He claimed to have purchased it that afternoon, and it had only five miles on the odometer. I thought it was a nice car until he refused to let me get in without first taking my shoes off. He told me that he didn’t want me to wear perfume in the future because it would clash with the current car odor. I inquired as to whether there was anything else I couldn’t do. He looked at the car and told me not to touch the heating, ventilation, or air conditioning system, or the stereo. They were cutting-edge, and he didn’t want me to break anything. I couldn’t say anything. I stood there with my mouth open and my eyes wide, unable to say anything. I couldn’t believe I couldn’t touch the heating, ventilation, and air conditioning system, or the stereo. I eventually asked him if he was certain he wanted me in his car. He looked at the car and then asked if my friend and I could use it tonight. The stereo was subpar, and my air conditioning didn’t work nearly as well as his, but it was old, and I could wear my shoes if I wanted. I slammed the door, causing soda to spray all over the car as well as the heating, ventilation, and air conditioning system buttons, and told him I would never go out with him again. He called me a spoilsport, even though I wasn’t a jerk.

I could feel the heat pouring out of the car door when I opened it. I slid onto the seat as the heat of the seat burned through my pants. Regrettably, no cooling occurred. The air conditioning system was making my car even hotter than 95 degrees outside on the tarmac. He told me that if I arrived in fifteen minutes, he would pull the car into a bay and inspect the Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning system. If I was any later, he’d be gone, and I’d have to wait until Tuesday. On weekends, he did not work. I got in my car and hoped I didn’t pass out before I got to the service station. He didn’t take long to pull the car into the bay, but he couldn’t help me until Tuesday. He would check the heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems, but if they required parts, they would have to wait. I asked him to check the heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems and tell me what was wrong. He summoned me to the counter after ten minutes. He stated that the entire heating, ventilation, and air conditioning system would need to be replaced. He had no idea the air conditioning would survive the summer heat. I was concerned about paying the service call bill, and I hadn’t considered what would happen if the AC component needed to be repaired. I asked him what would happen if I couldn’t afford the heating, ventilation, and air conditioning repairs. He sat there as well, staring into my eyes. He advised me to contact the Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning supplier and request a payment plan. He knew they did them, but he wasn’t sure if it was because of my income, creditworthiness, or simply because I was a great customer of the Heating, Ventilation, and A/C company. He wasn’t the one who made the loans, but he was the owner of the Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning company. I thanked him for the information and grabbed my phone as soon as he was gone. I wasn’t sure how to start this conversation, but I shouldn’t have been concerned. Before leaving the driveway, the Heating, Ventilation, and A/C serviceman called the Heating, Ventilation, and A/C supplier to inform them of the situation and my requirements. The billing secretary asked me a lot of questions and told me he would SMS the paperwork to me and all I had to do was approve it, but no interest was charged and I had two years to pay for the current air conditioning unit.
