I was doing some early Springtime cleaning to make more room for the gifts I had gotten for Christmas.

I had all our older clothes out for charity plus was putting them in a pile when I noticed a dark spot in the back of our walk-in closet.

I wasn’t 100% sure what it was, however our mind instantly went to mold. I reached out to the Heating, Ventilation, plus A/C business plus told them that I thought there was black mold in our closet. I removed all our clothing from the closet plus washed them in special detergent, then left the closet door open until the Heating, Ventilation, plus A/C professional arrived. It was just a tiny patch of mold, however he said it looked as if I may have a leak around the chimney. This meant I had to have our roof repaired to keep the leak from coming down the chimney. I also had a small draft in the closet. I would have thought the air movement should have kept the mold at bay, but I was wrong. He checked out the walk-in closet plus told me there was an air vent in there, however it wasn’t letting air in. When he opened that air vent, he chuckled. He asked if I had lost anything lately. There was an old blouse stuck in the air vent. I remember putting it down there one evening because of the air flow coming through the air vent, plus I was afraid it would take the color out of our black blouse. He said if I hadn’t put the blouse in the air vent to block the air, I may not have the mold, plus I was lucky it hadn’t started a fire.

When Joe, my local Heating, Ventilation, plus A/C pro, told me about the air cleaner, the only thing I could believe of was that it was a fancy modern kind of air filter. Joe wanted me to get a HEPA air filter instead of the typical air filter I had been using. I told him that wasn’t what I needed plus asked Joe if I couldn’t just put the HEPA air filter into our oil furnace plus the AC unit. The HEPA air filter was much thicker plus had a heavier weave, which is why they can filter out a lot more dirt, debris, dander, allergens, plus other things that get in the air. Joe said an air filter can capture the mold spores, however they can’t kill them. That’s where the HEPA air filter comes in. They installed our Heating, Ventilation, plus A/C plan before people knew about the HEPA air filters. The price is much higher, plus everyone doesn’t want that expense. I knew our home had gotten dusty.

The two of us lived in an section where the dirt roads were dirt roads.

The authorities didn’t do oil drips during the Springtime, plus the nearest pavement was over seven miles away on the state highway. Luckily they were there, because they found some holes in the ductwork plus could maintain them while doing the ductwork cleaning. I still have some dust in our house, however it odors cleaner, plus the furniture isn’t in mohair blankets.

I thought increasing my air filter in my Heating, Ventilation, plus A/C plan should be fairly easy, because you just open the air filter compartment, take out the old air filter, plus put a modern air filter in it.

Pretty simple? Right? Not for me.

After coming back to my house from military service, it left me with a disability.

There was always the #1 rule in our house, which was not to lie; Everyone made mistakes, however you had to own up to them.

Once you lied, then you had to continue lying to cover up the first lie you started with, and my son broke that rule several weeks ago.
