One For All Air Conditioning

At this hotel my pal and I stayed the other night, the air conditioning unit kept turning off every two hours, but it wasn’t so bad when my pal and I were awake, but after my pal and I made the choice to go to sleep, it became really frustrating.

I kept waking up every time the air conditioning turned off.

I prefer having white noise while I’m sleeping, and so when it turns off quickly, it makes me wake up with a jolt. I can’t sleep whenever there is total silence, and that is exactly what kept on happening while my pal and I were at the hotel. I am not going to lie about it either. It really does annoy me how I can spend so much money for one night in a hotel room and then the air conditioning keeps me from even getting one good night’s sleep! I was more than a little miffed about the whole entire thing when I got up the following morning and then went down for dinner in the lobby. I told the manager at the front desk of the hotel about the concerns with the cooling system and he said that there was not anything that he could do about it; then he really commiserated with me and told me that he hated the new air conditioning unit also. He said that all the people who came into the hotel complained about it, but the owners of the hotel had decided corporately that that was the direction that they were going as far as the whole eco-friendly movement goes, then everyone hates it, but that is the way it is from now on. I hope other hotels do not follow in their footsteps, though!

Twenty minutes after noon, I have the flu and am slowly making it through my workday.

It’s hard to write when your body hurts and you have a headache, but I know I can do it with a little patience and persistence. Our band finally got the business cards we’d been waiting for, so now my friend and I are going to start spreading the word about us in bars and pubs to see how many gigs we can get. In the summer, we want to play three shows a week in bars with air conditioning, and in the winter, we want to do the same in the mountains, where my friend and I have a cabin. If my friend and I can pull this off, we’ll have a cool life ahead of us. I know this is possible if my friend and I keep working hard and making new and better songs. Every week, the cooling corp keeps me busy, but not so busy that I don’t have time to practice my music, like most of my married and working friends. One of my friends told me that he only has about an hour to himself every afternoon because he has to work and take care of his apartment. I have avoided these things so I can become an artist. I don’t know if I would have the time or energy to work on tunes like I have for so many years if I ran my Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning business like I did before. I’ll be glad I took a chance and got into music because it gave me a lot of good memories.

I was talking about how I chose to go into the performing arts almost 20 years ago and how it has basically taken me all over the world and given me a lot of good memories along the way.

I could have stayed with my painting business, but I’m sure I would have been miserable and wished I had taken the chance I did.

I’m not famous or anything, but I think the real joy of the arts comes from creating and connecting with them, not from how many followers you have or how much money you have. Heating and cooling system stories help me make money so I can keep doing the arts, and I’m so thankful for that because I love writing about space heaters and other things. If my body decides it can last that long, I would love to play music for another 25 years and make a lot of cool songs with my band. If local businesses keep having us perform there, I know that my dream will come true. If I made it another 25 years, I would have been in show business for 45 years. Since I didn’t start until I was 38, that’s a pretty good run. I’m writing this while sitting next to my little air purifier for the whole cabin. In a few minutes, I’ll hop on my bike and go outside to enjoy the cool little town I call home. I’ll also call my mom tonight if I feel well enough to do so. Right now, I have the flu.

Years ago, the guy who sold me HEPA filters told me to follow my dreams, and I’m glad I did

I still have to work for 40 minutes, and then I’ll stop and go for a short bike ride. But I can’t go on a long ride right now because I’m sick and don’t have much energy. I just want to ride down and look at the ocean and beaches for a while. If anyone is out and about, I might even run into a familiar face and talk to them. Even though I miss my family a lot, I like the life I’ve chosen to live overseas. The owner of a heating business told me that having everything in life is hard. He has a wife and kids and works at the store for 60 hours a week, so he doesn’t have much time to do anything else. He said he wishes he had become a tunesian years ago instead of going into the Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) business. However, he is stuck in the HVAC business until he is at least 74 years old because they are raising a bunch of kids. Even though I doubt he will have enough energy to do it, he could try to make music when he is 74. This worries me because he will die with the music inside him. Now that I’m 55 years old, I’ve been doing performing arts for almost 20 years. I’m still pretty young, so I know I can make something happen before I get too old.

I have the flu and could use a big bowl of chicken noodle soup to help me feel better. I’ll tell you one thing: it’s not easy to write all afternoon when you have a fever and a headache, but the world keeps going and I have to keep going to get these done no matter how I feel. This afternoon is cloudy and cool, and I’m not sure what’s going on outside since the beaches are pretty empty. Summer is coming, and soon local business owners will be happy again because of the money they’ll make from tourists. My friend and I still have about six weeks before things get crazy and all the tourists arrive. Soon, my air conditioner will start up again and cool down my apartment so that my friend and I can stay cool and comfortable on those hot summer mornings. I live in a really cool town that I’d be happy to stay in for the rest of my life. This makes this town even better because I don’t have to leave it to get money from somewhere else. I like living here because there are no buses or subways and you can walk or ride a bike to get anywhere. The Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning business where I work is only a three-minute walk from my apartment, which makes it really easy for me to go to work every afternoon.

I have a cold, so I’m pretty much stuck in my apartment for the next couple of mornings.

It makes me really appreciate the small town I live in and how simple everything is. The worst thing about living here is that I don’t get to see my family and friends as often as I used to. However, I feel like I need to be here because the US has become too wasteful and too fast for me. It seems like all of my friends are buying air conditioners and boilers and trying to make their homes better, even though they were fine before. I’ve seen it happen over and over again: people build bigger homes than they need, and all of their energy goes into consumption, leaving them with nothing left for creative projects. I left my local supplier company in 2008 when I moved to New York City to do comedy full time, and I’m glad I did because cleaning ductwork every afternoon was making me feel like I was losing my mind. There is nothing wrong with trading and making money, but if you feel like you have something inside you that needs to get out, you have to listen to that feeling and go after it. I ran my business back home for ten years before I decided I needed a break from the world of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) equipment and the busyness of daily life back home.

I have a lot to learn about the songs I already know, especially when I compare them to the fun songs on Savor. They put a lot of feeling into their songs, and I wonder how I can get to that feeling so I can put it in my songs, too. I’ve never taken singing lessons, so when I sing, I just make it up as I go along. With enough practice, I might be able to open the door and sing like the artists in those killer savor tunes. I like how the 74’s and 76’s savor tunes sound, and I’m getting more and more interested in the idea that I can do the same. I just know that I like playing the drums and singing with my bandmate, and I think my friend and I could do some fun things with music if we can stay together. I’d rather sing than just work as a Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) worker at the cooling corp where I work for the rest of my life. Maybe I could take lessons at a local business, since my neighbor, who is a singing coach, doesn’t seem to want to help me after hearing some songs my friend and I made about air conditioners and space heaters. I feel like I can sing someone else’s songs with feeling, but I have trouble coming up with my own. The owner of a heating, ventilation, and air conditioning business is a good singer, but he doesn’t seem to want to do it full time because he doesn’t think he could make as much money doing it as he does running his own business.
