One For All Air Conditioning

We are finally ready to put air registers and air vents in the house.

It seemed to me like this afternoon would never come for a while there. We have been building this property for what seems like forever, honestly. Whenever we first started working on the property project, I legitimately thought that the whole thing was going to come together pretty suddenly for us. Honestly, I thought that it was going to be pretty easy for my wifey and I to build a house. We didn’t even know that we needed to hire a general supplier or a heating and A/C supplier at first. Looking back on those early days in the building process, now I just have to shake my head and laugh at our younger, more naive selves. We had no idea what we were in for, but so far we have had trouble with our exterior doors, our garage door openers, the roofing, the gutters, and the heating and cooling system. Oh, and we also ended up with an air duct that was the completely wrong size. We had to reorder that and the current order took forever to get here. Now we are totally behind on our building schedule and I feel like it has taken us an eternity to get this property under roof and almost ready to move into. At this point, we are finally ready to get the air return covers and the air vent covers put into the house. I can’t wait to finally be done with it and I hope that we never have to build another property ever again.

There are HVAC duct complications in our property and we are having cold spots all over the place.

It’s the most aggravating thing that I have ever dealt with when it comes to our heating and cooling system in this house.

We have been residing here for numerous years now, but I have never legitimately had an issue with the heating or cooling system at all. At this point the weather is finally heating up a little bit outside. Spring is finally here and so the temperatures are rising just a little bit. That means that we can finally turn the heating system off in the house. It’s not a day too soon for me to turn it off, either. It feels like we have run the heating system in the property for months! The winter season has been genuinely long around here this year and so I’m blissful to stop having to pay the heating bills, now that Spring is here. However, now I am starting to assume that there is something else wrong with our heating and cooling system. Now whenever the heating or cooling system kicks on, I have started to notice that there are cold spots here and there throughout the house. I know that when there are cold spots in your house, that entirely means that you have some complications with your air ducts. I studied about this a couple of weeks ago when I noticed the cold spot situation in my living room and the great room. I read about it on a heating and A/C blog online and it said that I need to have some air duct sealing done. I assume that makes sense, but I hope it won’t cost me much cash.

My Heating and A/C company is running a special this month and I can hardly handle it.

I have been using the same Heating and A/C company for years now and I cannot remember them ever running a special on a furnace tune up or an air conditioning tune up in all this time.

I just constantly assumed that they did not need the extra cash so that was why they never had any kinds of specials running. Now though, I do not legitimately know if that was the case at all. Maybe they just did not want to spend any of their money on advertising dollars, but at this point they still do not seem like they need the business. They are running a big special, but when I first saw that they were going to be having this heating tune up special I was shocked. I am actually going to be taking advantage of the special since I would entirely pay to have my heating system tuned up by them anyway at full price! That is what I have been doing for the past six years anyway. Once I found this Heating and A/C company and I liked the people there and the high quality of the jobs that they have done for me, I decided to use them anyway. I have been using them for all of my Heating and A/C needs, even though they are not exactly the cheapest men around. I firmly believe in high quality workmanship over the pricing of the products or service, but that’s how I have constantly been. I don’t mind paying more for things if they are worth it. The indoor air quality in my property is genuinely pressing to me and so that’s why I don’t mind paying more. However, if I can get this heating tune up at a good deal then I actually will grab the deal.

I didn’t suffer at all from seasonal allergies inside my home this past Spring

This Spring was a lot better for my respiratory health than any other year that I can remember. And that’s saying something because I tend to have a love hate relationship with Spring. I love the fact that the gas furnace is done with heating and the temperatures are lovely. And I love the fact that Spring is all about rebirth and blooming plant life. But with all that new green comes the yellow stuff that can make life tough for me. I’m referring to the pollen. When the tree and grass pollen levels are really high, I tend to suffer a bit just sitting around in my house. There is some sort of air purifier at work that provides just the best indoor air quality. Yet, I really couldn’t afford to go with air purification. Perhaps someday when I am making the sort of salary that puts me on the floors of the office with zone controlled HVAC. But as I’m still in a cubicle and getting my experience, I don’t quite have that big bi-weekly paycheck just yet. However, that didn’t stop me from greatly improving my indoor air quality and my respiratory health. All I had to do was replace the air filter for the HVAC equipment. Since I’ve been a homeowner, I have always used the cheapest of air filters. But with the HEPA filter, I’m now actually getting cleaner air as stuff like pollen and other airborne contaminants are trapped and removed. I didn’t suffer at all from seasonal allergies inside my home this past Spring. And all it cost me was the upgrade to the HEPA filter.

I don’t mind paying money to take care of things I own.

For sure, I do my best to move away from living a disposable lifestyle. I see this sort of approach all too often and it makes me sort of sick. It’s really too bad that we have gotten to the point where just about anything is tossed in favor of the latest trend. When it comes to stuff like my HVAC equipment, I’m in it for the long haul. I sort of got a hint of sliding down the path of ultimate convenience when we moved a few years ago. After I got the heating and cooling equipment upgraded and the house sold, it came down to packing up and moving. That’s when I got a very up close and personal look at all the junk that we had in our home. It was seemingly everywhere. There was stuff that was still in good shape but had been tossed aside because it was no longer in favor. After all the trips to the dump and to charity, I vowed that our home would be a place of quality stuff that we took care of. By and large, that’s just what we have done. When it comes to the quality heating and air in our home, I’ve been all over making sure it gets consistent HVAC maintenance. The HVAC company has made that easy for me thanks to the HVAC service plan. I don’t even have to remember to call for the HVAC maintenance appointments. And now that the HVAC professionals have access to the garage, I don’t even have to be at home for HVAC maintenance appointments.

I decided to start going to garage sales on the weekends with one of my close friends.

We look for old stereo equipment that we can either fix or resell.

Sometimes we’ll get lucky and find a really good turntable that still works. My friend’s father has been an electronics repairman since the 1970s. That’s where my friend learned all of his skills, while I learned mine on the internet as a hobbyist. We both contribute a lot to our shared hobby, and then we both share the profits of what we end up selling. Sometimes though we find things that garage sales don’t necessarily fit within the category of audio equipment. For example, one week we found a bunch of box fans for only $2 each. We bought all of them and they’re all working machines. Last week we were at the garage sale at the end of my road. The person there had a lot of HVAC equipment that they were selling. They had several space heaters and I saw a radiance space heater with quartz heating rods. I’ve always wanted a space heater like this so I decided to buy it. It was only $5 while brand new and a space heater like this is often $50. Amazingly too, the space heater still works really well. It’s a good machine and I know it’ll keep me warm when it gets really cold outside during the autumn and winter seasons. We get a lot of cold weather in this part of the country for at least 6 months out of the year. So it’ll be nice to finally get a break from all the frigid temperatures while I’m indoors.

My brother has been staying at my house for the last couple of weeks.

He’s getting work done on his house and it’s inhabitable right now.

In about 3 days he’ll be able to move back into his house. Basically I had to get the entire thing sprayed for bottoms. It took a good amount of time for the tenting procedure to finish. He also utilized the opportunity to get some remodeling work done at the same time once the tent came off the house and it was safe for people to go inside. I didn’t mind giving my brother a place to stay, especially since he did the same thing for me when I was in college. I’m going through my garage and trying to get rid of junk that I don’t need so I can make room for my car. I scratched the hood of my car inadvertently by leaving it underneath the tree and a branch fell on it the other day. I decided that if I want to keep the paint in a good condition, I need to put the car in the garage. That involves getting rid of this old portable air conditioner that I’m not using anymore. I decided to ask my brother if he could get any use out of the portable air conditioner. He was thrilled at the thought of taking it because he said it would come to great use and his tool shed. He could use it during the summer when he’s out there working to alleviate some of the high heat and humidity.
