One For All Air Conditioning

My sleep has been really choppy the past few weeks, which usually is a sign that something is out of kilter in my life.

• I think what is eating away at me is my music venture and possibly my love life, or lack thereof.

I’ve been single for over a year now, some of it by choice as I don’t want to compromise my ideals just to be with someone. But being alone for 16 months now is starting to wear on me and I’m sure things will change soon, or I’ll be an old man with cats soon. HVAC work at the heating supplier shop keeps me sane while I work on the music career I’ve been working on for years now. Well, actually it has only been a year of work in this band and things are moving along quite well. I just wish I began this journey when I was a teenager instead of getting into the heating and cooling system repair world like I did so long ago. I did have a drum set when I was 18 but I really didn’t work on it too much, spending most of my time chasing girls. Now I work part time in the HVAC technology division for the local contractor and spend the rest of my time making songs (and not chasing women). I like making new songs for our band and one day maybe we can put together a good album and get somewhere in this game. I will always work on heating systems and air conditioners to some extent.

Today is Friday and round and round we go.

Sometimes life seems to drag on very slowly while other times huge chunks of it disappear without notice.

Well, I am in the slow section right now as I sweat from the high temps coming recently. I long for the days of cold nights again where I can sleep without tossing and turning from being too hot. My flatmate has a problem when the system turns on because the air handler is located in her bathroom just above the hanging ceiling, which is a really odd place to put it. HVAC systems should not be in a bathroom because of several reasons, one being that a lot of smells come from a bathroom and if the air conditioning or heating system is running then it spreads the smell to the rest of the home. It is also very tough to change the filter in the unit because you have to remove several ceiling panels to access the place where the filter is. I guess the contractor had no choice but to put the HVAC system above the bathroom ceiling and now we are suffering because of it. I told my flatmate to wear earplugs and then she won’t hear the system turn on but she said they fall out of her ears, which means she isn’t putting them in correctly as they won’t fall out if so. The heating supplier told me about these earplugs when my mini split a/c unit was keeping me awake in my bedroom, which I don’t have anymore sadly.

But when it comes to feeling like I’m just evidently getting ripped off, I have to address those situations! When it comes to the commercial Heating plus Air Conditioning in the gym my wife plus I belong to, my pal and I had to do something. We’ve lived here for the last five years as my pal and I moved for my wife’s job. She’s now up on the executive floors of her building where they even have zone controlled Heating plus Air Conditioning. Along with a killer view from her office, she even has a thermostat. We’re both into health plus wellness so exercise is a crucial part of our lives. Well, there just aren’t numerous choice for working out where my pal and I live. So we’ve been perspiring it out with Heating plus Air Conditioning equipment that is clearly overwhelmed, ancient, undersized or all of the above, finally, my pal and I decided to go to management to get a commitment from them that there would be an Heating plus Air Conditioning upgrade prior to signing on for another year. They upped our membership fees however provided us nothing in return so my pal and I felt like so easy a/c was not too much to ask. My great friend and I had this conversation plus the director pretty much blew us off. He noted that it was indeed warm during the Summer however perspiring more when my pal and I toil out was great for us. Well, we’re now working out at home in our own a/c. No way were my pal and I paying extra to be miserable due to terrible commercial Heating plus Air Conditioning in an already costly gym.

Well, we’re now toiling out at condo in our own a/c, no way were my buddy and I paying extra to be miserable due to poor commercial Heating & A/C in an already overpriced gym.

Will was just about to complete his studies at the local HVAC college when he met Sal. She was there from a local HVAC business to give them advice about the coming future. As fresh graduates who will soon be certified HVAC experts, they were looking forward to joining the workforce. Sal got to speak to the class for an hour about her experience working for and now running an HVAC business. She explained the evolution of the HVAC industry and all the changes taking place in regards to HVAC technology. It was good to hear real life experience from someone who’d been in the industry for a long time. After class, Will met up with Sal since he had some follow up questions. There were other students also interested in speaking with her so he let them go first. Then, when the crowd was gone, Will went forward and requested to speak with Sal. He said he was almost graduating, and handed her his CV. Will was applying for an entry level position at her HVAC business. Sal was so impressed because out of 30 students, Will was the only one to apply for a job at her local HVAC business. She thought some might, but only one came forward, and he had a CV with him. They paused the interview until after he got his certification and then Will went to work for Sal’s HVAC business. It’s been six years since he joined the team, and Will’s career is doing so well. He is so happy he took that chance.

It’s always amazing to watch your child grow up and live their best life.

• Ever since she was a little girl, I would wish the best for my daughter.

She was such a happy and smart child despite facing challenges in life. She understood from a young age that life is full of ups and downs. And it’s up to her how she allows such matters to affect her. Fast forward to when she was in high school and she surprised me with some news. My daughter wanted to become an HVAC expert. I own and run a HVAC company in the city that I started many years ago. My daughter has been part of this business her whole life since she’d hang out there during the weekends and summer time. I’d give her odd jobs to do, and pay her for her time, just like all the other employees. During her high school years, she still held a part time job at the HVAC company. But, I always thought she’d go off to university, and pursue a different career path. However, she told me she’d done her research and she wanted to become an HVAC expert. That decision led to her going to college, getting certified, and working for my HVAC company. She is now in training to take over the business as I take a back seat. One of the most impressive things she did the other day was recommend a new hire. She’d been teaching a class at the local college and came across a young guy who turned out to be an excellent HVAC expert. I’m already loving her instincts for business.

Every time I see a black spot somewhere in the house, I shudder, thinking that my mold situation is back to haunt me. I remember how I had allergies for months without thinking it could be something in my house, and all I did was change the digital thermostat settings. I had the same issue until I called the cooling specialist from the local cooling corporation for a random air conditioner tune-up in case I had a problem that could be fixed. According to the air conditioner service report given by the a/c worker, I had mold in my ductless mini-split system. I finally had an answer to why my allergies were not resolving. My HVAC installation had been slowly poisoning me with pores from the mold collecting within it. The a/c professional told me it could be resolved by cleaning it out professionally to avoid doing more damage. That’s when I knew I needed an additional source of income because I needed to look for credit to afford to pay for the service. Luckily, the local indoor comfort business was keen to do the cleaning and sent the bill to me for clearance within a month which was enough time to find the money. I was slightly tempted to scrub it out with bleach and all other cleaning products I could find, but I had already been warned against it. The only way to find help with indoor comfort without damaging my quality HVAC installation was to have the professionals clean it for me. I also had to understand the source and clean everything out. Now that I have my home fitted with an electric heat pump, I’m still keen to check for mold, especially since I have kids who could be affected more than I was.
