One of my biggest pet peeves is contacting the HVAC company to schedule an appointment.
- There are only two HVAC companies in my area that can service my home’s HVAC system and I only prefer to do business with one of them.
It’s a family-owned HVAC company and they’ve been in business for over thirty years. The service is always great and they do good and honest work. Their prices are higher than the competing company, but I’m willing to use them anyway. Even though the company is great, I hate calling to schedule my HVAC tune ups because the waiting list is always long. No matter how early or late in the season I call, there’s a wait. Everyone else in the area must prefer to use them too and I understand why. Recently, I called to have my HVAC system serviced before the summer and I was told that I could be seen in two weeks. Although two weeks wasn’t terribly long (considering my HVAC system still worked), I grumbled. The person on the other line could sense my frustration and he suggested that I sign up for their comfort plan. It was an annual membership that included HVAC tune ups, a discount on parts and repairs, and priority scheduling. This was why the wait was so long! If I was a member, I would be scheduled so much faster! Since I loved supporting this family-owned HVAC company so much, I decided to join their comfort plan. It was a no brainer!
