I am really not too fond of telemarketers.

And I am even more so not fond of them when they call early in the morning on a weekend while I am trying to sleep in late! I got woken up last weekend by a telemarketer calling me at around 8am selling heating and air conditioning home services! This really annoyed me because not only do I have my heating and air conditioning home services taken care of, but my brother is a certified heat and a/c specialist! Now of course I know they are not expected to know this.

But the point is it just made me more mad and annoyed about getting that pointless phone call which woke me up. I really need to find out how to get on one of those do not call lists i’m telling you! I actually yelled at the poor telemarketer and told them what they could do with their heating and air conditioning home services. There are so many competing heat and a/c companies in the area, and now they are resorting to the old telemarketing thing to try to get business. That is actually the worst thing they could do because everyone and their mothers know that if you have something sold through telemarketing that usually means that you are some sort of scam or that there is something dishonest somewhere. I have never had a telemarketing call for something one hundred percent on the level. Maybe these heating and air conditioning people were? Who knows and who cares really.

We all need a break from time to time.

Sometimes longer than others.

This was the case for me with my heating and air conditioning business. I am an independent heat and a/c contractor who has been working non stop for the last 6 years without any kind of vacation. This was something that was finally getting to me. So as a result of all this I finally decided enough was enough and it was time to take a nice long 2 week vacation. I put everything on hold and closed my independent heating and air conditioning business for this amount of time and I took a cruise ship vacation with my wife for the 2 weeks. It was no nice not even thinking about heating or air conditioning. To be honest I was totally burned out on it all. I nearly was so burnt out I thought about getting another career and closing the heating and air conditioning business for good! However I knew that would not be a wise idea because this is my career and what I put so much time and effort into building. It was just that a long 2 week long overdue break was needed and I needed to get away from the everyday hustle and bustle all together. After the 2 week vacation on the cruise I reopened my independent heating and air conditioning business and all was back to business as usual. I fell right back into it and felt refreshed with no feelings of wanting to quit. The long vacation was just what I needed.

I had a huge writing project that I had to do for college.

It was a big paper I had to write on the heating and air conditioning business.

This was all part of my writing classes I was taking. Why they chose this for a subject is beyond me. I know nothing about heating and air conditioning businesses or heat and a/c at all other than how to work it. And to be perfectly honest, I had no interest in heating and air conditioning what so ever. However, I had to do it if I wanted to keep my classes going so I could get my degree. Much to my surprise after gathering all the information needed I was able to get right into it and start writing this paper on the heating and air conditioning business. I got so into it that the time flew by quick! I had the paper done in one night. It seemed like it only took me a half an hour but then it turned out that 4 hours went by! I was pretty surprised as I was saying. The fact that I was able to fly through this and not lag and drag through it was nothing short of a miracle. What was even more of a miracle was the fact that when I turned in the paper I got an A grade on it! That was not something I was expecting. I expected to get a passing grade but not the top of the line. I guess I really fooled them that I know anything about the heating and air conditioning business.

When it comes to the temperature in your home there is no right and no wrong temperature.

It all depends on the person or peoples living in the home.

The way you set your thermostat and how you have the central heating and air conditioning system working is all up to you. Some people like their thermostat to make the place hotter than others. And on the other side of things some people like their homes colder. As long as you look after your central heating and air conditioning system there is no right or wrong way to heat and cool your home. Just always make sure to change the air filters of your central heating and air conditioning system at least once every few months. Especially if you have cheap generic air filters as they last the least amount of time. They are not like the high quality HEPA brand air filters that they sell for a little more money. Heating and air conditioning is a very choice kind of thing. There will never be a right temperature or a wrong temperature as I was explaining. What one person thinks is right, another could think is wrong or not right for them. Which is more than fine. Just again, look after your central heating and air conditioning system by performing the certain maintenance that is needed for the central HVAC unit and you can enjoy a long time of quality heating and cooling exactly how you like it! Never let anyone tell you what is right or wrong. Only you can decide that!

I work in the HVAC business.

But I am not your typical working stiff of a heat and a/c specialist.

I am my own boss because I am what is called an independent heating and air conditioning contractor. In being an independent heating and air conditioning contractor I make my own rules and work my own way. This is so much better than having to work for some heat and a/c company and be paid low dollar for tons of work and also I do not have to punch a time clock and be at work at a certain time, etc. With being an independent heating and air conditioning contractor my day begins whenever I have my first heat and a/c appointment scheduled for that day and it ends when the final HVAC appointment that I personally scheduled for the day is done. It is so much more of a relaxed way to work in the heating and air conditioning business. Also it makes it so that I get paid much more money than I would working for some heating and air conditioning company. It is just the only way to be a heating and air conditioning specialist in my most humble opinion. I started my own heat and a/c business after working for a heating and cooling company over a few years. I got tired of the way we all were treated and I got tired of being a slave more or less. Now I make the good money and I am happy with the work that I do.

They say you should change your air filter every single month. I am talking about the air filter to your central heating and air conditioning system. However for me this does not happen and sometimes I have to suffer with some bad air quality in my home. This is because in this house that I rent the air filter is very hard to change! They have it in the ceiling which makes it so I have to get a ladder in order to even change the thing. And this is just too much work. So sometimes I can go 4 to 6 months without changing the air filter of the central heating and air conditioning system. I have been renting this house for about 5 years now. One year I did not change the air filter of the central heating and air conditioning system for almost a whole year! I was lucky the central heat and a/c unit didn’t break on me. If it did I would have just called the property management and they would have to pay for the HVAC repair. That’s what they get for not having something done about this air filter placement! I really do not feel like getting up a ladder all the time just to change the air filter of the central heating and air conditioning system. I plan to move out of here in about 6 months anyhow. Hopefully the next place I get will be better with the air filter placement.

It is that time of year again folks.

The time of the year where in my local area the air quality is really horrible and the temperatures are in the one hundreds! I fight with this every single year and it does get tiresome.

However I have a really great central heating and air conditioning system that has the best air conditioning around in it. And on top of that I have one of those whole home air purification systems. Between the really great air conditioning system and the whole home air purification system I can fight off the bad air quality along with the really awful heat that we have to deal with in the area in which I live. My whole home air purification system cost me a lot of money. But I feel it was well worth the price because it relieves me of all my allergy issues. I mean really. The whole home air purification system was several thousand dollars which I have on a monthly payment plan to pay in installments. The central heating and air conditioning system was also thousands of dollars which also went on a payment plan. But they both go together as the whole home air purification system is part of the central heating and air conditioning system. It runs at the same time on the same thermostat. All together it was a huge investment on my part but it was well needed in order to survive these horrible allergies and the ungodly temperatures.
